ARTIST'S BIO
Rada Volodina is a 10 y.o. artist from Russia though living in Thailand most of her life she is a true world citizen. She showed her interest in art at a very early age spending a lot of time drawing and her parents always supported her on this path. Being a curious child Rada always asks many questions and sometimes answers she finds are not very pleasant. At the age of four, she made a conscious decision to become a vegan when her mother honestly explained her the truth behind the meat and dairy industry. Since then she is an advocate of animal rights. She loves watching TED-ED channel videos on Youtube and through it, she became aware of many social and environmental problems that humanity faces today. Simultaneously she realized that art can be used not only for decorative and aesthetic purposes but it is also a powerful tool to influence people's minds. That's why many of Rada's recent artworks focus on the things she would like to change in the world. Despite she is still very young, her artworks have already been exposed at a collective exhibition of Rebel Art Space Gallery in Bangkok along with artworks of well-established artists. Some of them were purchased for private collections. At first glance, her art might seem naive but it is always bold, sincere and have a powerful message inside. Part of the proceedings from the sales of Rada's artworks will go to the Love Wildlife foundation, that manages conservation programs of slow loris and marine mammals, education projects, wildlife research programs and so much more.
AGENT OF CHANGE
Look around. We all can see social inequality, injustice, poverty, and violence all over the world. There is no doubt that climate and environmental armageddon is inevitable. Despite it is obvious, most of us prefer to turn a blind eye to all these problems. At the same time, a new generation is leading the movement to focus on things that have been neglected for far too long. They do it because they have been left with no other choice. They have to be more conscious, compassioned and determined to save the world and themselves from extinction. "Agent of Change" is a series of artworks by a 10 years old artist Rada Volodina, that has a clear message: open your eyes! Stop being ignorant hypocrites and start fighting global problems on a personal level. Become an agent of change!
